The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has now initiated an expiry review of its finding concerning the dumping and subsidizing of certain stainless steel sinks from China. The Tribunal's finding, in May 2012, imposed anti-dumping and countervailing duties on these goods.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will determine, by September 1, 2017, if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping and subsidizing of the goods if the finding is left to expire.
In the event of positive determinations by the Agency, the Tribunal will determine, by February 8, 2018, whether the continued or resumed dumping and subsidizing are likely to result in injury to Canadian manufacturers.
