CBSA issues dumping determination on steel line pipe from Korea

September 8, 2017

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a preliminary determination of dumping with respect to certain carbon and alloy steel line pipe originating in or exported from South Korea.

Provisional duties at rates of up to 107.2% are now payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after September 6, 2017.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal will now formally determine if the dumping is causing prejudice to Canadian industry.

The investigation follows complaints filed by a manufacturer in Saskatchewan and its affiliate in Alberta.
